FIG. 1: RADIATION RELEASES FROM FUKUSHIMA
MARCH 26: The Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) program
at Cologne Univ.
Germany,
reported releases daily through July 31, 2011, when nearly
all reporting was shut down globally. This shut down coincided
with the transport of the molten nuclear reactor fuel reaching
the groundwater below the reactor buildings, causing continual
releases into the ocean and the atmosphere that will not end
in our lifetime. This map indicates that heavy contamination
(depending on rainfall) occurred in the Aleutian Islands,
Arctic Ocean, west coast of N. America (including Mexico),
and split into two plumes - that traveled into the mid-Pacific
to Hawaii and Guam – or turned east across the U.S.
and Canada crossing the Atlantic and moving into the Mediterranean
and Middle East. This will result in contamination of the
northern hemisphere and more slowly the global biosphere.

Etcheverry Hall on the campus of UC Berkeley on March 23rd,
2011, from 9:06-18:00hrs Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) states
radioactivity levels at 20.1 Becquerels per Litre (Bq/L) = 543

allowed in drinking water is 3 pCi/L or 0.111 Becquerels per
Litre. The sample exceeded the federal guidelines for drinking
water by 181 times. The UC Berkeley researchers also discovered
trace levels of iodine-131 and other radioactive isotopes, believed
to have originated in Fukushima, in commercially available milk

How
long does it take the jet stream to circle the earth?, answerbag.com.
Answer: " The circumference of a plane
that cuts through the center of the earth is 24,900 miles, because
the earth's diameter averages 7,926 miles. The strongest current
of the jet stream circles at a negligible five miles above the
earth's surface, with an approximate average speed of 225 miles
per hour, so the jet stream would theoretically take about 111
hours to circle the earth. However, since the jet stream does
not circle directly above the equator and its path and speed
are variable, this is only a rough estimate." professionally

U.S. states find traces of radiation from Japan

amounts of radioactive particles that have likely drifted about

in Japan, officials say." [Editor's note; please note that
many of these articles ignore at least three important issues:
a) external electromagnetic radiation that quickly passes through
the body is a very different animal compared to radioactive
particles that can get absorbed and remained embedded in the
boy, permanently emitting radiation and b) the cumulative long
term effects of low level fall out buildup in America, to include
bioaccumulation within the food chain and c) Fukushima has the
potential to be more than a hundred to a thousand times worse
than Chernobyl, and as of right now we just don't know exactly
how bad the long term fall out danger will be. For more discussion
of other important issues, see Ann Coulter-related

2011-03-24 [date of rain data in Seattle discussed
in video) Radiation
in Northwest US Rainwater from Fukushima (video)
(2:22) uploaded 6 Sept 2011
"Reports
of high levels of I-131 and Z-133 have been recorded in the
Northwest Usa Water . Most of the readings have been found in
Rainwater.
A
Seattle nuclear watchdog group is accusing the federal government
of failing to keep the public informed of radiation from the
Fukushima nuclear disaster.
In
the days following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, the
U.S. began monitoring radiation from Japan's leaking nuclear
power plants.
Most
of the public attention went to the air monitoring which showed
little or no radiation coming our way. But things were different
on the rain water side.
"The
level that was detected on March 24 was 41 times the drinking
water standard," said Gerry Pollet from Heart of America
Northwest. He reviewed Iodine 131 numbers released by the Environmental
Protection Agency last spring.
"Our
government said no health levels, no health levels were exceeded. When
in fact the rain water in the Northwest is reaching levels 130
times the drinking water standards," said Pollet.
Elevated
rain water samples were collected in Portland, Olympia and Boise,
which had the highest.
But
EPA officials say the data was there for anyone to read on their
website. A spokesman sent this statement, in part:
"Since
Iodine 131 has a very short half-life of approximately eight
days, the levels seen in rainwater were expected to be relatively
short in duration." [AFI Editor's Note: This ignores fact
that I-131 is usually accompanied by a witches brew of radionucleotides
that are not measured, which have half lives going out many
decades, like Cesium.. Also, inhaled radioactive particles are
the most dangerous for of radiation of all since they continuously
irradiate whatever cellular areas they get embedded in. The
EPA spokesperson did not make this distinction with "background
radiation" external to the body].
State
health agencies added that they constantly monitored public
drinking water sources and never found levels even approaching
the unhealthy range.
Even
the watchdog group admits, watering plants with water exposed
only briefly to those levels is unlikely to cause health problems.
But
they say it's information the public deserves to know about.
The
EPA points out this was a brief period of elevated radiation
in rainwater, and says safe drinking water standards are based
on chronic exposure to radiation over a lifetime
My
opinion is if you trust the EPA to keep you safe then I have
a bridge for sale in Brookly cheap."

Most Of The Plutonium MOX Fuel Nuclear Fallout Likely To Drop
On The U.S As US Plutonium Levels At 20 Year Highs,
blog.alexanderhiggins.com, May 19, 2009
"...Still,
even the rigged data shows that the levels of uranium and plutonium
in the US are at higher concentrations than what they have been
in over 20 years.
Plutonium
and Uranium Detected in the U.S.: The Highest Density in the
Last 20 Years! California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam
Plutonium
and Uranium have been detected in abnormal density measuring
from the end of March to the beginning of April in Guam, Hawaii,
and the US west coast, according to my close examination on
the RadNet
database of the United States Environmental Protection
Agency (EPA). This proves that Plutonium and Uranium, some
of the most toxic materials, had dispersed from the Fukushima
Diichi Nuclear Plant (and it also means that these materials
have contaminated the ocean). While the government, mainstream
media, TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company), and biased academia
in Japan have closed their mouth tight about this fact (By
the way, the US government also provides very limited information
of radioactive substance in the main
pages of the website that most of the people visit), it
has already been spreading among net users, both ordinary
people and specialists, by making it impossible to conceal
the truth from us any more.
On
this blog, I checked on concentration of the radioactive substance
in the air detected by air-filter in California, Alaska, Hawaii,
and Guam, where Plutonium and Uranium were detected (there
is information
that Plutonium was also detected in Washington State and Saipan,
but I excluded these two areas here). I also want to note
that most of the places had observations only up to three
times since March 11, 2011, and somehow there has not been
any report on the nuclear substance observation since the
beginning of April (this has been criticized in the US). The
following charts are made based on the EPA data.
*
I encourage you to retrieve the data by going to the
EPA RadNet database so you can confirm our argument is
accurate. The result comes out when you select “Air
Filter”, “CA (state name)” and “Plutonium-239
(nuclide name),” for instance, and then click the “Search
Database” button below. Results are also downloadable.
Please note the differences of the units being used in the
database. Data after March 11, 2011 are described in a unit
of pCi/m3, not in a unit of aCi/m3 that you will see in data
prior to March 11, 2011. I am strongly hoping that many people
will check and verify the data as I am not a specialist in
the nuclear field.

Average
Density in Air Before and After 3.11 [Bq/km3]

Compared
with the average density of the past 20 years from 1991 to
February 2011, Plutonium 239 in California 18 times, Uranium
238 in Alaska 17 times, Uranium 234 in Hawaii 30 times, and
Uranium 238 in also Hawaii 50 times were detected all after
March 11, 2011. Also, in Guam, Plutonium 239, Uranium 234,
235 and 238 have been detected for the first time in the history
of the observation. So-called “half-life” of each
material is this: Plutonium 239 for 24,000 years, Uranium
234 for 240,000 years, Uranium 235 for 700 million years,
and Uranium 238 for 4.47 billion years. As you could see easily,
these isotopes have almost endless life spans from human perspective.
Both Plutonium and Uranium are extremely toxic radioactive
substances that omit strong alpha-ray radiation.
There
are two reasons why I conclude that these radioactive materials
came from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant. First, in the
past 20 years, such sudden increase of radioactive materials,
as indicated in the above graphs, has never been seen before
March 11, 2011. Second, these regions where increased amount
of Plutonium and Uranium were detected, are all closer to
Japan. They are Guam, Hawaii, Alaska and California. Especially
in Guam and Hawaii, the increases are even bigger than other
States. For example, if you compare the numbers after the
3.11 between California (8700km=5400miles from Japan) and
Guam (2500km=1550miles from Japan), Guam has detected 78 times
higher Plutonium 239, 6 times higher Uranium 234, 16 times
higher Uranium 235, and 13 times higher Uranium 238, than
California. Plutonium and Uranium have yet not been detected
along the East Coast (Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Virginia,
North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, etc.). Therefore,
these two points of abnormal increase in radioactive materials
and the locations of where these are detected can strongly
indicate that this has been caused by the crippled Fukushima
Daiichi Nuclear Plant.
Conclusion:
Some of the most brutal radioactive materials, Plutonium and
Uranium, have been spread in the air from the Fukushima Daiichi
Nuclear Plant.

2011-03-25 (for this day) Monitoring
Stations Catch a Fraction of Fukushima Fallout by
Alex Roslin, August 4, 2011, straight.com.
...Health
Canada’s radiation-monitoring webpage downplays any fallout
concerns, saying radiation reaching Canada has been “within
normal background levels”. That’s based largely
on data from a second network of 35 other monitoring stations
that have less sensitive equipment (including 12 in B.C.).
But
an analysis of the data from these stations shows radiation
levels did hit sustained above-normal levels for an average
of 36 days in March and April after Fukushima. The radiation
level rose to 0.48 microsieverts per day, on average, during
this time, up from 0.43 seen in the rest of the monitoring data
between March 10 and July 27—or an increase of 11 percent.
Of
all the B.C. sites, the biggest spike was in Victoria, where
the level rose from 0.23 to 0.25 microsieverts per day between
March 19 and 25—an increase of 9.9 percent. Vancouver
saw a four-percent increase, from 0.43 to 0.45 microsieverts.
The
worst-hit city in Canada was Regina. It saw a 90-percent spike
in its radiation level, from 0.36 to 0.69 microsieverts per
day. Yellowknife was second-highest with a 31-percent jump,
followed by Toronto with a 26-percent rise.
But
this data downplays the radiation from Fukushima, Edwards said.
The less sensitive equipment also picks up large amounts of
background radiation from natural sources like the sun and soil.
It
also doesn’t spot jumps in the type of radioactive substances
released in a nuclear accident, like iodine-131. Another problem:
sieverts are a questionable way to measure radiation because
they include a subjective calculation of the radiation’s
impact on a person, and so the results can be manipulated to
play down impacts, Edwards said.
“It’s
a shell game. Microsieverts are quite a distance removed from
the raw data. They’re blending in stuff from nature to
make the data look innocuous,” he says.
You
have to scroll down to the bottom of Health Canada’s radiation
webpage to find the more striking data from the five stations
monitoring specific radioactive substances.
This
data shows the air at the five stations showed highly elevated
levels of iodine-131 and three other radioactive substances
during 30 days on average.
The
level of iodine-131 in Sidney, B.C., rose to a high of 3.63
millibecquerels per cubic metre in the air on March 20. That’s
over 300 times higher than the background level of 0.01 millibecquerels
per cubic metre or less.
The
highest level of iodine-131 recorded in the country was in Resolute
Bay, Nunavut, where the concentration reached 9.76 millibecquerels
per cubic metre. (or nearly 1,000 times higher than the background
level).
Also
in Sidney, the level of radioactive cesium-137, which has a
half-life of 30 years, shot up about 40-fold, from a background
level at or below 0.01 millibecquerels per cubic metre to a
high of 0.4 millibecquerels per cubic metre on March 25.
Those
levels were individually well below the maximum ceilings permitted
by the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission, which for iodine-131
is 200 millibecquerels per cubic metre of exposure in the air
on a daily basis for an entire year.
But
when all of the radioactive material that was detected is combined
together—along with unknown exposure from many other radioactive
substances not being monitored by Health Canada, like strontium-90
(which has a half-life of 29 years) and plutonium-239 (with
half-life of 24,000 years)—the radiation still poses a
health risk as it concentrates and becomes more potent in the
food chain, said Gordon Edwards of the Canadian Coalition for
Nuclear Responsibility...

Models Show High Levels of Radiation Entering U.S. from Japan
by Kurt Nimmo, Infowars.com.
"On
Saturday, Yukiya Amano, the director of the United Nations’
International Atomic Energy Agency, said the Japanese nuclear
crisis could go on for weeks, if not for months...
...Scientists
quoted by the corporate media continue to insist that radioactive
particles crossing the Pacific are far too diluted to cause
any harm.
In
fact, scientists
are complaining that the Japanese have not fowarded sufficient
information on the nuclear meltdown. They say the quality and
quantity of information coming out of Japan has left gaping
holes in their understanding of the disaster nearly two weeks
after it began.
Independent
researchers, however, dispute claims that the radiation now
lofting over the northern hemisphere is not dangerous. The Weather
Online website has posted a number animated models showing
dangerous concentrations of iodine 131 and caesium 137 entering
the United States with prevailing weather and the jet stream."
