Children
in Fukushima are at risk!
The
area within 20 km radius of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power
plant was designated as a “caution zone”, where
people are prohibited by law from setting foot. There is however
no evacuation instruction yet issued for the areas near this
zone, so that children go to school every day just as before.
Recently,
the Ministry of Education announced the following statement
for 13 schools in the cities of Fukushima, Koriyama and Date:
1)
When air dose rate on their schoolyard and playground is below
20mSv / year or 3.8µSv / hour, outdoor activities are
"safe" so that the facilities can be used as usual.
2) For the facilities exposed to the dose rate exceeding the
level set as above, outdoor activities should be limited to
one hour per day and kindergartens and daycare centers should
not allow their children to play in the sandbox.
The
threshold established by the Ministry of Education for children
is higher than for the area currently subject to planned evacuation
and six times higher than for the "radiation controlled
area". Besides, this threshold of 20msv/year was found
to be equal to the upper limit of exposure rate for nuclear
power plant workers in Germany...

JNN’s
investigation has revealed that there is hardly any

the Containment Vessel of the Reactor 1 [...]
The
water level inside the RPV had shown that more than half the
height of the fuel rods (4 meters) was under water. However,
when the water gauge was repaired, the actual water level
turned out to be so much lower that there was hardly any water
in the RPV, according to the JNN’s interview
with a government source. [...]

leaking from No.1 reactor, NHK, May 12, 2011:
Tokyo
Electric Power Company says water may be leaking from a hole
in the No.1 reactor at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant,
causing a sharp drop in the water level inside the reactor.
[...]
On
Thursday morning, it was found that the water level was more
than one meter below the bottom of the fuel rods. The water
is believed to be leaking into the containment vessel. [...]
The
Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said that if the latest

and accumulated at the bottom of the reactor. But it added
that it believes the fuel rods are being cooled.

Avoid Produce and Dairy: EPA shows Radioactive Fallout Dumped
in STL by potrblog, 2011-05-13
EPA's
RadNet monitoring of gross Beta and Gamma radiation in Saint
Louis Missouri strongly indicates that the May 13th early morning
storm dumped radioactive Gamma and Beta producing fallout on
Saint Louis Missouri. Such fallout is likely to be taken up
and concentrated in local fruit, vegetable, and dairy products.
Given
EPA RadNet's strong indication of Gamma and Beta producing radioactive
fallout on the Saint Louis Missouri area on the early morning
of May 13th, and the EPA's
recent announcement it would reduce testing of milk and
dairy products for radiation; it would be wise to avoid consuming
local fruits, vegetables, and dairy products, as these farm
products take up and concentrate radioactive particles.
The
attached RadNet images show a 5 day step-up function spike in
both Gamma and Beta starting May 7th and an immediate step down
function during the early morning rains of May 13th. The images
are the clearest indications yet from EPA's RadNet monitoring
of Saint Louis' Air that Fukushima fallout has been significantly
deposited in Saint Louis. The May 7th starting date of the STL
radiation spike and plateau is strongly correlated with reports
of large radioactive releases from Fukushima Daiichi occurring
at the end of April and beginning of May.

Background Radiation, ST Louis MO 5/13/11 evening
by potrblog
This
sample was from less than 50 drops of rain water on my SUV,
taken on the evening of 5/13/11. The sample stabilized at 0.186
mR/hr. The reading is high given the small amount of water,
and data from EPA's RadNet that a significant amount of Gamma
and Beta radioactive fallout had washed out of Saint Louis air
approximately 20 hours earlier in a overnight rain storm. for

2011-05-14 (for this day) Reactors
in Meltdown As Private Forecasts Show 100x Higher Radiation
(PDF), zeolite-remedies.com, dated 20 May 2011.
May
14, 2011: Over the course of the past week, a multitude
of news stories (that have been almost entirely suppressed globally)
have revealed that the Fukushima reactors are currently in as
critical a state as they have been since the explosions occurred
in mid-March. Skyrocketing levels of radiation are being reported
that are higher than any time since at least early April, and
simultaneously there is finally acknowledgment being officially
made that at least two of the reactors are in a confirmed state
of meltdown.
Although
no mainstream news source is saying it explicitly, it is obvious
to all that the reactors must have entered this state of meltdown
now two months ago (when the explosions were taking place),
which only confirms that a multitude of poisonous radioactive
isotopes have also been getting released from the crippled plant
all this time. Meanwhile, hundreds of radiation forecast images
continue to appear in an obscure folder of a server run by the
Norwegian Institute for Air Research. These images consistently
show levels of radioactive poisons in the northern hemisphere
that are at least 100 times greater than the levels that the
public forecasts ever showed (which public forecasts have been
stopped in any case [1]).
|

This
forecast image shows radioactive cesium-137 flowing on to the
US west coast at levels of around 250 bq/m2 (see zoomed image
below showing yellow on the west coast). |

Given
that the public forecasts from the Norwegian Institute for Air
Research have been stopped, the final available image to compare
with the private forecast from May 14, 00:00 UTC, is from May
13, 21:00 UTC (three hours prior). |

Here
we see levels that are definitely no higher than 1 bq/m2 on the
left, with faint wisps of purple (around 0.32–1.0 bq/m2
) being visible in about three places. Meanwhile, the private
forecast on the right from three hours later shows levels in excess
of 250 bq/m2 on the US west coast. Given that the public forecast
has been stopped, why are there still hundreds of forecast images
appearing in the obscure folder on the “zardoz” server
in Norway? Also, why do these obscured forecasts continue beyond
May 13, 21:00 UTC, which is the final date of the public forecasts?
More importantly, why do the private forecasts continue to show
levels of radioactive poisons that are hundreds of times greater
than the levels that were ever shown on the public forecasts?
All
of these questions are extremely relevant, as the lives of hundreds
of millions (and even ultimately, billions) of human beings are
at stake. The very fact of two different servers hosting two entirely
distinct sets of forecast images reveals the duplicitous nature
of the current “power system” that rules our world.
Why is the information even being generated on this obscure server
if it is not for some valid purpose? When taking into account
all available information from the past two months relative to
this nuclear catastrophe (including reports that the US west coast
has been seeing radiation levels 10 times greater than in Europe
[2], combined with data from institutions that were monitoring
radiation levels [3]), the evidence clearly suggests that the
private forecasts are accurate and the public forecasts are not.
Post-Dated
“Forecast” Images Show Same High Levels In the past
two days since the public forecasts from Norway were stopped,
there have been numerous different forecast images appearing in
the obscure folder of the “zardoz” server. These have
included a number of animated forecasts showing a “simulation”
date of May 9 (03:00 UTC) yet giving “forecast” images
for the week of April 18–24 (inclusive). Thus, some newly
appearing “forecasts” are post-dated (or dated after
the fact) by approximately three weeks relative to the actual
time being shown (given that today is May 14), which reveals that
someone is examining data relative to fallout of radioactive poisons
from that week in April. It also reveals that the models being
used show “forecast” (for the past?!) levels of radiation
that are in fact more than 100 times greater than the public Norwegian
forecasts ever showed. If these post-dated “forecast”
images that are still mysteriously appearing in an obscure folder
of a little known server in Norway are not the real and best estimates
of the radioactive fallout that has been flowing around the northern
hemisphere due to this terrible nuclear catastrophe, then what
are they? In addition, whois generating these forecasts even after
the public forecasts have been stopped and for what purpose?
Now
let us look at five example “forecast” images from
five days during the week of April 18–24. These images all
show levels of radioactive iodine-131 at least 100 times greater
than the public images for the same times. [Editor's Note: Please
see the web page for 4-17
to 4-23].
2011-05-14 [Good
News] 2x Background Radiation Rain in STL @ 10:10pm 5/14/11
uploaded by potrblog
Drought
would be better, but post Fukushima Daiichi I will call this good
news. A 10:10 pm sample was taken from a vehicle which had been
parked in the driveway for approximately 4 hours. The rain was
a nasty Seattle type drizzle; the sample returned a max reading
of 0.020 mR/hr (2 times background radiation). This is good news
if your are stuck in the rain; but not so good for the local horticulture
and dairy, a significant amount of Beta and Gamma radiation has
fallen out on Saint Louis in the last few days.
2011-05-14 0.132
mR/hr Radioative Fallout, 5/14/11 Saint Louis Missouri
uploaded by potrblog
Took
this sample around 1 pm, after a 20 minute 6 mile round trip driving
through a Seattle Style all day rainfall. The readings max at
0.132 mR/hr, or roughly 13 times background radiation. Given that
it rained twice yesterday and has been raining all day today,
I am a bit surprised that the contamination reading is so high.
